Junior

This poster is of one of the greatest baseball players of all-time, Ken Griffey Jr. He grew up on a baseball diamond as his father was also a baseball player, and when the two eventually played together, his nicknames were “The Kid” and “Junior” hence why the name of the post is Junior. I chose this pose because his sweet swing is just one of the things he is most known for. I was inspired by being a lifelong baseball fan and Ken Griffey Jr. is one player that I wish I was able to watch growing up because he was so exciting and influential to the culture of the MLB. I believe that this was a big step forward for me when it comes to graphic art. I am very proud of the product that I produced.

  1. The subject in the poster is Ken Griffey Jr. He was a really good baseball player and he influenced the culture of the MLB. The alignment is really good by having the picture be aligned to the background with the dominant eye. I love the repetition in the Mariners with the lines. I really like the colors you picked and how it makes Ken Griffey Jr pop out of the page. The advice may make the text a little bigger.

  2. The subject in the artwork is Ken Griffey Jr. Griffey is a very well known baseball player who played for the Mariners and the Reds. He is known to have one of the smoothest swings every and many people look up to Griffey as a role model in today’s game. The alignment of the artwork is really good because he background is aligned with the dominant eye. Another thing that sticks out to me, is the repetition of the pattern in the Mariners lettering. The colors go along with the other colors in the artwork and it works perfectly. The final thing I really like about this, is how Ken Griffey looks like he is popping out of the page. It tells the viewer exactly what they want to see. The only advice I would give is not to rasterize it as much as you did. I think that if the face was a bit more clear, it would look better.
